Football Player

The Resume

    (April 24, 1987- )
    Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Running back for the BC Lions (2009-15) and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Grey Cup Most Outstanding Canadian (2011, 2019)
    Grey Cup MVP (2019)

Why he might be annoying:

    He never attended college.
He fathered a child out of wedlock.
He publicly lashed out against the Lions in the media, which sealed his fate in not returning to the team.
He was suspended for two games after he tested positive for a banned substance (2019).
Some Canadian football pundits felt the suspension hurt his chances at being considered for the CFL's Most Outstanding Player award voting.

Why he might not be annoying:

He opted to play junior football and was drafted by the Lions as a territorial exemption player.
He wears #33 to honor a former teammate, who was killed in an auto accident.
He is a power running back who isn't afraid to use his size to his advantage.
He cited his main motivation to sign with his hometown Blue Bombers was to end their Grey Cup drought (which he successfully did).
He is the first player in CFL history to earn both the Grey Cup MVP and Outstanding Canadian honors in the same game.
