The Resume

    (circa February 26, 1893- )
Birth name was Wallace D. Ford (maybe)
Founded the Nation of Islam in Detroit (1930)
Disappeared after leaving Detroit for Chicago (June, 1934)

Why he might be annoying:

    He used over 50 aliases.
Depending on which version of his background you believe, he was a black Jamaican. Or a Palestinian. Or a half-Maori New Zealander. Or Russian. Or...
As Wallace Dodd Ford, he served three years in prison for trying to sell drugs to an undercover cop (1926-29).
The Nation of Islam claims that identifying Wallace Fard Muhammad as Wallace Dodd Ford is part of a smear campaign, even though the two men reportedly had matching fingerprints.
He preached that Armageddon was imminent.
He described whites as a race of devils created through selective breeding by a scientist named Yakub.
One of his early followers, Robert Karriem, was arrested for murder, and was found to be carrying a boklet by Wallace Fard Muhammad with the quote, 'The unbeliever must be stabbed through the heart.' (November, 1932)
After he disappeared, the Nation of Islam claimed that he went to Mecca and later was taken aboard a UFO, where he is still alive and planning his return.

Why he might not be annoying:

He told his followers that his mother was both a white woman and a righteous Muslim, to teach that it was not skin color that made people devils but a 'culture of lies and murder.'
His successor, Elijah Muhammad, convinced people he was the Mahdi sent by Allah to redeem mankind.
His birthday is celebrated by the Nation of Islam as Saviours Day.
There is evidence that he may have been alive as late as 1971, and the FBI kept their file on him open until 1960.
He was a character in Jeffrey Eugenides' Pulitzer Prize winning novel 'Middlesex.'
