Comedian

The Resume

    (September 29, 1972- )
    Born in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom
Best known for his comedy teaming with comedian David Mitchell
Regular on 'That Mitchell and Webb Look' (2006-10)
Regular performer on the British TV Show, 'Peep Show' (2003-14)
Host of 'Young, Dumb, and Living Off Mum' (2009-11) and '10 Things I Hate About' (2012)
Acted in 'Confetti' (2006), 'Magicians' (2007), and 'The Wedding Video' (2012)

Why he might be annoying:

He is a friend and colleague of Russell Brand.
He appeared in a series of corny 'Get a Mac' commercials for Apple Inc., playing the role of the 'Mac' computer to Mitchell's 'PC.'
He performed a mock dramatic reading in a comedy skit which solely consisted of his looking into the camera and repeatedly enunciating the words 'Fuck you Bush.'
He regretted showing full-frontal nudity as a nudist in 'Confetti,' claiming to have had a 'miserable time' making the film.
He thought his genitals would be censored out of the completed film ( and claimed to have only found out otherwise at the premiere).
He admitted to briefly abandoning his atheism for religion after experiencing a personal loss, only to return to atheism after learning to coexist with the aftermath (calling prayer only 'a coping mechanism').
He was fired from his writing gig with 'The Daily Telegraph' for arguing with the commenters on the online versions of his articles (2011).
He attempted to quit smoking by seeing a hypnotist, but it failed to help him quit.
He has admitted to feuding with David Mitchell at points during their teaming, to the point where Mitchell worried he wouldn't be able to say anything nice about Webb as Best Man at his wedding.

Why he might not be annoying:

It is generally conceded that his 'Get a Mac' ads with Mitchell are funnier and more creative than their American counterparts.
He won the series 'Let's Dance' for the charity Comic Relief, parodying the 'Flashdance' audition sequence (2009).
He is an expert on the novels of Ian McEwan.
He is an avid reader of T.S. Eliot and filmed a documentary on the poet.
Although identifying as Russell Brand's friend who defends him on occasion, he criticized him for encouraging young people not to vote.
He has expressed regret that he is identified with his smug, sneering TV persona.
He has excellent chemistry with David Mitchell.
