    His shag haircut made him look like a hipster, which played a key role in the Red Wings decision to trade him.
    He became a born-again Christian after he became teammates with Paul Henderson.
    Despite holding the NHL iron man record for a number of years, he was omitted from the lists of hockey greats.
    His iron man streak came to an end in Atlanta after he was benched for a game (December 21, 1979).
    He made a comeback in the British hockey leagues three years after his retirement from the NHL.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He established himself as an every day player, upon being acquired by the Blues.
    He recorded eight consecutive 30 goal seasons with the Blues.
    He was considered one of the first stars in the history of the Blues franchise.
    He played in 914 consecutive games, which was an NHL record, prior to being surpassed by Doug Jarvis.
    He credits his sister, who became paralyzed after contracting polio as his inspiration for his durability during his career.
