Why she might be annoying:

Her childhood nickname was 'Ola,' which was a shortened version of her middle name.
She lied about her age, claiming at times to have been born in 1897 or 1898.
She was married and divorced twice, including a stint with matinée idol Bert Lytell that lasted less than two years.
She had several affairs, including ones with Charlie Chaplin and Charles 'Buddy' Rogers (12 years her junior).
Like many silent film era stars she was unable to retain stardom once talkies came into place.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was poised to become an opera singer, but a spill while roller-skating injured her larynx, forcing her to abandon her dream.
After moving to Seattle with her parents and winning a beauty contest, she took friends' advice and moved to L.A. to try a career in silent films.
She got her 'Patrician Beauty' nickname due to her many roles as society girls and princesses.
She was a fashion trend setter for women in the 1920s.
She had a dinner date with William Desmond Taylor the night before he was murdered, but was cleared of any wrongdoing.
In 1933 she toured with Al Jolson's stage show.
After her film career, she took up painting, became an accomplished artist and had her work exhibited, often giving away her paintings to friends.
She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
