He is a two hit wonder.
He had worked at 40 jobs and played in a dozen bands before hitting the charts.
He was working in a lemonade factory when 'Little Green Bag' came out.
Feeling burned out The George Baker Selection disbanded in 1978.
He revived the group in 1985, then again pulled the plug in 1989.

Why he might not be annoying:

In 1970 'Little Green Bag' reached #5 on U.S. Billboard's Singles chart, the first time a Dutch artist had scored a Top 5 hit in America.
'Una Paloma Blanca' reached #1 in over 30 countries and over 120 versions of the song have been recorded by various artists.
'Little Green Bag' became a hit again internationally in 1992 after Quentin Tarantino used it in his film 'Reservoir Dogs.'
Tom Jones covered 'Little Green Bag' in 1999 and sold over 3 million copies.
The George Baker Selection have sold over 20 million records worldwide.
