Celebrity's Relative

The Resume

    (January 27, 1987- )
    Born in Atlanta, Georgia
    JonBenet Ramsey''s older brother
Son of Patsy and John Ramsey
Emerged from 20 years' obscurity for an interview with Dr. Phil to discuss the anniversary of his sister's murder (Sept. 12, 2016)
Filed a $150 million defamation lawsuit against Werner Spitz and investigators associated with CBS' 'The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey' special (Oct. 12, 2016)

Why he might be annoying:

Some viewers found his demeanor and grinning body language, during his Dr. Phil appearance, to be off-putting.
There was speculation that he killed his sister with a flashlight because she ate the last piece of pineapple in the house (hence the undigested pineapple found in JonBenet's system).
The CBS documentary alleged that he exhibited erratic behavior as a child, such as. spreading feces on the walls.
When he was asked who he thought killed JonBenet, he answered that it was probably some 'pedophile who saw her in one of the pageants and snuck in.'
There's continued speculation over his voice allegedly turning up during Patsy's 911 phone call (she had claimed he was in his bedroom during the call).

Why he might not be annoying:

Dr. Phil prefaced their interview by warning the audience that he was socially awkward.
He endured the pain of losing his younger sister in the public eye of the media (who the hell wouldn't come out a little strange after that?)
He spent twenty years living as a virtual recluse as a result of the trauma he experienced.
He found work as a successful home-based 'off the grid' software engineer.
The 'Case of' documentary highlights his misbehavior as some kind of proof that he killed JonBenet, as if he was the only kid to ever throw a tantrum (who wouldn't sue?)
His trauma was rehashed and probably exacerbated by the John Mark Karr ordeal.
His mother died of cancer, in 2006, and went to her grave without being cleared of murder charges (she would be formally exonerated two years later).
He was thoroughly interviewed by investigators on multiple occasions - without his parents present - and was never identified as a serious person of interest.
He believes his sister watches over him and said 'Sometimes I would talk to her if there's some important thing I was doing [I would say] like, Hey, thanks for looking out for me,'…or, you know, Hope you're having fun up there, because I'm taking some test or, you know, like, Wish I was up there right now.'
Staging an elaborate - extremely flawed - cover-up to shield a kid who accidentally killed his sister over a piece of pineapple? Sorry, just doesn't add up.
