    He is often mistaken to be a relative of fellow Asian TV chef Martin Yan.

    He emigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in the 1960's.

    In addition to his cooking shows, he produced and hosted various travel specials on Asian countries.
    He appeared on various American television shows to promote his cooking.
    He gives great one liners in both English and Cantonese.
