The Resume

    (April 25, 1900-December 15, 1958)
    Born in Vienna, Austria
    Pioneer in quantum physics
Won the Nobel Prize in Physics for the Pauli exculsion principal that no two electrons in an atom may occupy the same quantum state simultaneously (1945)

Why he might be annoying:

He referred to his father's second wife as 'the evil stepmother'; his father had remarried when Wolfgang was 28.
His first marriage lasted less than a year.
He had such a reputation for breaking equipment that some experimental scientists banned him from their labs.
He was a perfectionist who could be caustic in his criticisms, famously dismissing one unclear paper with, 'This isn't right. It's not even wrong.'

Why he might not be annoying:

Two months after graduating high school, he published his first scientific paper, on Einstein's theory of relativity (1918).
He predicted the existence of neutrinos (1930), which being electrically neutral and nearly massless are extremely difficult to detect; when their existence was confirmed experimentally (1956), he commented, 'Everything comes to him who knows how to wait.'
He was described as 'the conscience of physics.'
