Why he might be annoying
His name sounds like coffee.
When Kofi was a student in Minnesota he swore he would never wear earmuffs, however after a particularly cold winter day, he relented.
In order to get the U.S. to pay $1.6B in back dues, he cut his staff and the United Nations' budget.
Why he might not be annoying
He won the Nobel Peace Prize (2001)
He speaks several African languages as well as French and English fluently.
He negotiated the release on hostages held in Iraq during the Persian Gulf War.
He is the first black Secretary General of the United Nations.
He graduated Macalester College in Minnesota.
