Why they might be annoying
They are more known for their stage antics than their music.
While on Saturday Night Live, Lee Ving sang into the microphone and said 'It's great to be in New Jersey.'
Lee Ving also referred to New Yorkers as 'homosexuals.'
Lee Ving would often insult members of the audience and would make sexist jokes.
They all went by stage names.
Their album titles often involved beer.
Why they might not be annoying
John Belushi was a big fan of theirs.
How Belushi got Lorne Michaels to allow them to be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live is a mystery. Flea got his break with them.
They are not afraid to speak their minds.
Lee Ving was able to sing 'fuck you' and have it go uncensored while on SNL.
