The Resume

    (1961- )
    Located in Washington, D.C.
Formerly known as the Chicago Packers (1961-62), Chicago Zephyrs (1962-63), Baltimore Bullets (1963-73), Capital Bullets (1973-74) and Washington Bullets (1974-97)
    Won one NBA championship (1978)
Three retired numbers: Elvin Hayes' #11, Gus Johnson's #25, and Wes Unseld's #41
Other former and current players include Chris Webber, Jerry Stackhouse and Kwame Brown

Why they might be annoying:

They changed more nicknames than any other NBA team.
Due to its gun connotation, they changed their name from the Bullets to the Wizards.
That provided the lame joke that if they really needed to change the violent reference they should've removed the 'Washington' instead.
Despite their talent they have been mediocre since the 1980's.
Michael Jordan made his ill-fated second comeback with them and are probably best known because of that fact.
They were the first team that drafted a high schooler as the #1 pick (Kwame Brown).
They are the only team to be swept twice in the NBA Finals (1971, 1975).

Why they might not be annoying:

They were a great team in the 1970's, making the Finals four of those years and winning it in 1978.
Three of their former players were inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame the same year (Elvin Hayes, Earl Monroe and Dave Bing - 1990).
They were the first NBA team to name a woman as their president (1991).
Even though they were named after the 1948 champion Baltimore Bullets, they rightly don't claim the original Bullets' championship title as one of their own.
They have an African-American wizard on their logo.
