Why he might be annoying:

He looked like Jerry Stiller.
To mark the first ever win by the Lakers over the Boston Celtics in the 1985 NBA Finals, he celebrated by smoking a cigar for the only time in his life.
In 2007, he was arrested for a DUI suspicion.
He was an avid poker player.

Why he might not be annoying:

Under his ownership, the Lakers won 10 NBA titles.
He bought the Lakers and Kings, along with the Inglewood Forum, for $67.5 million in 1979. As of 2010, according to Forbes, the Lakers were worth a minimum of $584 million.
He earned his BS from the University of Wyoming in only 2.5 years and has a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from USC.
In 2008, he donated $7.5 million dollars toward USC's chemistry department.
