    He was defrocked by the Assemblies of God after his first wife divorced him on the grounds of infidelity (1975).
    He has been preaching the imminence of Armageddon for over a decade.
    He said, 'The whole purpose of the [Harry] Potter books is to desensitize readers and introduce them to the occult.'
    He said Hurricane Katrina was 'the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans' for a gay pride parade.
    He wrote, 'Most readers will be shocked by the clear record of history linking Adolf Hitler and the Roman Catholic Church in a conspiracy to exterminate the Jews.'
    William Donohue said, 'If someone said to me, Who is the biggest anti-Catholic bigot in the evangelical community, I would say: hands down, John Hagee.'
    He said, 'Those who live by the Koran have a scriptual mandate to kill Christians and Jews. It teaches that very clearly.'
