He was the leader of the black metal 'Inner Circle,' taking part in church burnings, vandalism of cemeteries, and other Satanic/anti-Christan activities.
When Mayhem vocalist Dead committed suicide by gunshot, Euronymous reportedly cooked and ate pieces of his brain.
He said, 'I don't want to see people respecting me. I want them to hate and fear.'
Varg Vikernes reportedly stabbed him after an argument over who had the more 'evil' reputation.
He wore the black and white 'corpse paint' typical of black metal musicians.
He opened a music store called 'Helvete' (Norwegian for 'hell') which became a major spot for black metallers to gather.
He was not an especially skilled guitarist.

He ranked #51 on Guitar World's 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists of All Time.
He was found murdered in his apartment with 23 stab wounds.
His murderer, Varg Vikernes, was given Norway's maximum prison sentence of 21 years.
