For the international broadcast of the 'Dany y Su Pandilla' concert, Televisa refused to show Yuly's solo numbers. Whenever she sang, they cut to an interview, or show another performer on stage instead of Yuly.
She was the first African-Mexican female to get a leading role on a popular youth oriented TeleNovela.
Daniela Lujan said of her, 'Yuly is the most fun of them all.'
Even though her character became popular, she was killed off.
Due to high demand, Yuly was brought back for the final episode and concert.
Her co-stars call her, 'La Negrita Chula.'
