Best known for playing Edna Garrett on 'Diff'rent Strokes' and 'The Facts of Life'

Why she might be annoying:

She is divorced.
She has a high, parrot-like voice.
She probably abused the ozone layer with all the hairspray she used.
She sang the 'Facts of Life' theme for the 1st season, which was replaced quickly.
Considering the serious issues 'Facts of Life' tried to deal with, it was almost hard to take her character seriously.

Why she might not be annoying:

She played a motherly figure to millions of TV viewers.
She has an autistic son.
She had a guarantee that if 'Facts of Life' fizzled, she could come back to 'Diff'rent Strokes.'
