The Resume

    (October 2, 1936-April 18, 1991)
    Born in London, United Kingdom
Portrayed Father Mark Reddin in ‘The Secret Storm’ (1973-74), Beau Richardson in ‘The Edge of Night’ (1976-77), Rusty Sentell in ‘Search for Tomorrow’ (1982-83), and Dr. Carl Hill in ‘Re-Animator’ (1985) and ‘Bride of Re-Animator’ (1990)
Also appeared in the films ‘Savage Weekend’ (1979), ‘The Brain’ (1988), ‘Pulse Pounder’ (1988), ‘Syngenor’ (1990), and ‘The Guyver’ (1991)

Why he might be annoying:

He ran away from home to New York City when he was thirteen and was able to get a job as a waiter because he looked a lot older than his actual age.
While running an experimental theater in the late 1960s, he was so poor that he spent a month sleeping on the stage of the theater at night.
He made his film debut in a now-lost X-rated porno, ‘A Weekend with Strangers.’ (1971)
In the most (in)famous scene of ‘Re-Animator,’ his decapitated character redefines the concept of giving head. (During a screening, his wife stormed out at that scene, shouting ‘David, how could you?’)

Why he might not be annoying:

While he attended Catholic school, a nun hit him across the back with a broom, breaking the broom.
He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and the Actors Studio in New York.
He unexpectedly enjoyed making horror films and sent director Stuart Gordon a note thanking him for ‘re-animating my love of acting.’
He died of complications from open-heart surgery.
