Why he might be annoying
He smoked.
He was tone-deaf and recorded homemade demo tapes, expecting bands to be able to copy his tuneless singing.
He claimed to contact Buddy Holly via Ouija board.
He was sullen and stubborn, and was constantly being fired from studios before he set up his own.
He would pick up attractive young men in bars, promising to make them stars, before having sex with them.
He would occasionaly use pretty-boys in the studio, and then bury their voices.
He used household items like a toilet to create cheap sound effects.
When the couple in the apartment upstairs complained of the constant noise, Meek put speakers in the hall to bother them more.
He discovered a great band, but told them to get rid of their singer (Rod Stewart).
He turned down a contract with, David Bowie.
He threw a tape player at Tornadoes drummer, Clem Cassini.
When Mitch Mitchell, drummer for Jimi Hendrix, flubbed the beat, he threatened him with a shotgun.
He told Brian Epstein, manager of the Beatles, that they sounded horrible.
He popped pills.
Before killing himself, he shot his two neighbors for no apparent reason.
