She claimed she despised Hitler's policies and met him only twice for interviews.
She was indirectly responsible for JFK becoming a war hero when the Navy, worried she might try to pump him for information, decided to transfer him out of Washington to the South Pacific.
Her engagement to a British MP broke up due to the British press hounding her over her relationship with Hitler.
