Birth name is Edmund William Ross
Conductor of Edmundo Ros and His Rumba Band

Why he might be annoying:

    He was divorced.
After buying out the Coconut Grove, he renamed it 'Edmundo Ros's Dinner and Supper Club.'
His club was highly exclusive and known for its demanding dress code (ladies wearing broad-brimmed hats or trousers were denied admittance).
His nightclub's popularity was hurt by the relaxation of Britain’s gambling laws (he sold the club in the 1960s).
He broke up his band at the age of 64, destroying his musical arrangement sheets at his own celebratory dinner.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was born to a Venezuelan mother and a Scottish father.
He was an ambulance driver during World War II.
He popularized the Rumba and Latin American rhythm in post-War England.
He made more than 800 recordings over the course of his career.
His 1949 number, 'The Wedding Samba,' sold 3 million copies.
He became a household name when Princess Elizabeth made her first public foray on the dance floor accompanied by his orchestra.
Princess Margaret and Monaco’s Prince Rainier counted themselves as regulars at his nightclub.
He was one of the first mixed-race entertainers to make it big in the British cultural scene.
