Why he might be annoying:

    He's divorced.
As a teenager, he stole CD's from the music store he worked at.
His feud with Faith No More's Jim Martin eventually led to Jim's firing.
He used to sport an eyebrow ring.
He is a video game junkie.
His hair used to reach the middle of his back and he'd shave lines across the side of his head.
During a Faith No More concert in South America, someone in the crowd pissed into a bottle and threw it on stage. After public acknowledgment from Mike and the band, he took the cap off and poured it over his head, silencing all 10,000 plus people in the crowd.
The song 'Be Aggressive,' which was written by openly gay Faith No More keyboardist Roddy Bottum, was about giving oral sex to a man and was sung by Mike, who isn't gay.
During concerts he will break out into screaming screeching sounds instead of the lyrics to the songs.
When being confronted about the possibility of a Faith No More tribute album featuring bands like Korn, Disturbed and Papa Roach, he said: 'Why ruin great songs with awful bands?'

Why he might not be annoying:

Roddy Bottum said that the only drug he does is caffeine.
He claims to have never tasted alcohol before joining Faith No More.
Axl Rose was so impressed with his range as a singer that he asked them, being Faith No More, to tour with Guns N' Roses.
He speaks Portuguese, Spanish, German and Italian.
He joined Mr. Bungle when he was 15.
He named his band Fantomas after the cult-followed anti-criminal/anti-hero French thriller series.
Before Eddie Vedder was climbing rafters, Mike Patton was doing it.
Before Slipknot were wearing masks, Mike Patton was doing it.
Fantomas is a treat to fans of rock music since it features Patton, former member of Faith No More, Buzz Osborne, former member of the Melvins and Dave Lombardo, former member of Slayer.
He owns his own record label, Ipecac Records.
He's one of the hardest working and poorly appreciated men in music.
