Why they might be annoying:

Their manager had to sell their publishing rights to raise $10,000 bail after they were busted for drug possession after a Denver concert (1967).
Their 'Living the Blues' album featured a 20-minute-long song and a 40-minute-long blues jam.
During the 70s, they made ends meet between tours by importing drugs from Mexico.
Wilson and Hite both died from drug overdoses.
De la Parra has kept the band going with a revolving door line-up.

Why they might not be annoying:

DownBeat magazine wrote 'They perform the country and Chicago blues idiom so skillfully and naturally that the question of which race the music belongs to becomes totally irrelevant.'
John Lee Hooker called Wilson 'the greatest harmonica player ever.'
They performed at the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock.
'Going Up the Country' was featured in the films 'Woodstock' and 'Into the Wild.'
