Why they might be annoying
The band was originally named Mookie Blaylock.
This made it nearly impossible for fans to see them in concert unless they were members of their fan club.

This crowd surge caused them to slipped on the muddy ground and get crushed (June, 2000).
The group members are vegetarians.
Why they might not be annoying
In their defense, Eddie Vedder repeatedly asked the fans at the Roskilde Festival to move away from the stage as a preventive measure for tragedy.
Despite their steady decline in album sales since 1993, they are still one of the most popular modern rock bands.
These albums are multi-platinum: Ten (9x), Vs. (6x), Vitalogy (5x) and No Code (2x).
Pearl Jam members testified in front of congress concerning the rise in concert ticket prices (1994).
At a Dallas Concert an uninvited Dennis Rodman decided to join them on stage.
After 45 minutes of talentless Rodman, bassist Jeff Ament shoved him off stage (1998).
During a Seattle book drive, they contributed $78,000, that is $2,000 for every elementary school in Seattle.
Pearl Jam at an upstate NY concert warned their fans not to use blankets as trampolines (2000).
