Why he might be annoying:

In college, he deliberately avoided classes that would prepare him for a career to fall back on if musical theater did not work out.
After graduating college, he moved back in with his parents for four years.
He co-wrote ‘Kermit, Prince of Denmark, a Muppet parody of Hamlet that was rejected by the Jim Henson Company for lacking ‘kid appeal.’
His status as an EGOT (Emmy/Grammy/Oscar/Tony) winner has been challenged by people who claim that only Primetime Emmys should count.

Why he might not be annoying:

‘Hamilton’ creator Lin-Manuel Miranda credited Lopez with providing professional support ‘when I was a broke substitute teacher.’
He collaborated with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone on ‘The Book of Mormon.’
At age 39, he became the youngest EGOT winner.
With his second Oscar for Best Original Song, he became the first double EGOT winner (winning each award at least twice).
