He layers technobabble about quantum physics over traditional New Age babble to make his ideas sound scientific.
The Journal of the American Medical Association repudiated an article he co-wrote after discovering he held a financial interest in the ayurvedic products discussed in the paper (1991).
He was sued for plagiarizing part of 'Ageless Body, Timeless Mind.'
He has recorded several music CDs.
He claims to know how to prevent aging, but does not include a current picture on his web page or his recent book jackets.
He delivers lectures about the evils of materialism at $25,000 a pop.
Why he might not be annoying
Much of what he advocates -- eat less fat and sugar, don't drink or smoke, relax, etc. -- is healthier than the average American lifestyle.
He says his mission is 'to heal, to love, to transform and to serve.'
He advocates disarmament, environmentalism and economic sustainability.
