In high school he helped develop an MP3 player that could figure out users’ listening preferences.
He had a frightening encounter with an armed man at a gas station.
He continued to dress and live like a student after becoming rich.
He either walks or bikes to work.
He apologized to users about Facebook’s more controversial features.
He believes that an open, collaborative internet can improve society.
He announced on the Oprah Winfrey Show that he was donating $100 million to New Jersey's largest school district (September 24, 2010).
He promised to give away 99% of his Facebook shares to charity shortly after the birth of his daughter (December 1, 2015).
