The Resume

    (March 10, 1845-November 1, 1894)
Born in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation
    Emperor of Russia (1881-94)

Why he might be annoying:

He had a large boil on the left side of his nose.
He married his late brother's fiance, Princess Dagmar of Denmark.
He blamed his father's assassination on Jews and launched a series of anti-Semitic policies.
He undid most of the liberal reforms adopted by his father.

Why he might not be annoying:

His marriage to Princess Dagmar was encouraged by his brother on his deathbed.
Unlike most tzars, he was faithful to his wife.
    He witnessed his father's assassination.
The Imperial train derailed at Borki station in the Ukraine (October 29, 1888) and he held up the roof of the damaged dining car with his shoulders until his children could escape. (However, the Soviets would later dismiss the story as propaganda, insisting the walls of the dining car had remained strong enough to support the roof.)
