    Also appeared in the films 'The Rains Came' (1939), 'Public Deb No. 1' (1940), 'Private Nurse' (1941), 'Little Tokyo USA' (1942), 'The Enchanted Forest' (1945) and 'The Spider Woman Strikes Back' (1946)
    She reportedly had the longest hair in Hollywood at 39 inches.
    She said of co-star Johnny Weissmuller, 'How Johnny holds all that manhood tamed under his loincloths defies the laws of nature.'
    She retired from films after a difficult divorce (1949).
    She disliked the role of Jane, never mentioning it to co-workers at the Department of Immigration or the staff at the nursing home where she spent her final years.
    She was working as a photographer's model to pay college tuition when she was discovered by a 20th Century Fox talent scout.
    Fox, which had been promoting her as a pin-up, punished her for marrying Army officer Owen Ward by relegating her to B-pictures (1941).
    She was an excellent athlete and swimmer.
    She made a brief return to show biz, appearing in two episodes of 'Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.' (1971)
