Why he might be annoying:

He was a male gold digger, seducing rich women to get ahead.
He was married 5 times.
His first marriage, in 1932, was to the plain-looking Flor De Oro, daughter of Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo. When the couple divorced in 1938, Trujillo banished Rubirosa to Paris.
His second marriage in 1942 to French film star Danielle Darrieux lasted 5 years.
His third wife was American heiress Doris Duke. When she presented him with a prenuptial agreement, Rubirosa fainted and smoked a cigarette during the wedding ceremony. For their year-long union, he came away with $500,000, a fleet of expensive cars, a plane, and several polo ponies.
His fourth marriage, to Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton, lasted just 53 days. In less than 2 months, she spent $3.5 million presenting him with cash and gifts.
His final marriage, at 47, was to 19-year-old French actress Odile Rodin.
He and Zsa Zsa Gabor carried on an affair before, during and after their various marriages.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a pilot, race car driver, and polo player.
He was known for his suave manner, good looks and sexual skill.
He was so well-endowed that large pepper grinders were jokingly referred to as 'Rubirosas.'
He was killed at age 56 after crashing his Ferrari into a tree.
He enjoyed life.
