U.S. Congressman

The Resume

    (February 19, 1946- )
    Born in Greensboro, North Carolina
Democratic Congresswoman of New York (1993-)

Why she might be annoying:

She used the n-word in an interview.
She was a potential replacement for Hillary Rodham Clinton's senate seat but was overshadowed by Caroline Kennedy's petition for the seat.
Her slip ruined her chances of running for senate.

Why she might not be annoying:

She apologized for using the n-word and it was actually used when she was quoting someone else.
The entire quote was ‘I got a call from someone from Puerto Rico, said [Kirsten Gillibrand] went to Puerto Rico and came out for English-only [education]. And he said, ‘It was like saying n—r to a Puerto Rican.'
