Why Scotland might be annoying
Its people wear tartan and play bagpipes.
They eat haggis, which is generally a mix of sheep's heart, lungs, and liver, boiled in the stomach of the sheep.
Its men wear skirts, known as kilts, usually with no underwear, usually for formal occassions.
Scotland Yard is located in England.
Some people believe that the Loch Ness Monster terrorizes people there.
There isn't a lot of variety in the Fish and Chip shops (i.e. cod!).
It's often cold and rainy.
Why Scotland might not be annoying
It is the birthplace of golf.
William Wallace (Braveheart) and Robert Bruce successfully fended off England's efforts to conquer Scotland in the 13th and 14th centuries.
Mel Gibson made a movie about Wallace's life.
Star Trek's Scotty was a Scotsman.
James VI, King of Scotland, became King of England in 1603, ending the Tudor dynasty and uniting Scotland with England.
King James was later responsible for the first English translation of the Bible.
It has some of the most beautiful countryside in the British Isles.
Since 1999, it's had its own parliament again.
It's famous for its bourbon, scotch and whiskey.
They have their own breed of dog, the Scottish terrier.
