Why he might be annoying
During Game 4 of the World Series, his team (Arizona) was 1 strike from winning its third game, 3-1.
He gave up a two run homer to New York Yankee, Tino Martinez, tying the game 3-3.
In the tenth inning with two outs he gave up a home run to Derek Jeter, losing the game 4-3 (October 31, 2001).
The next day, with his team winning 2-0 in the 9th inning with 2 outs, he gave up a game tying 2 run homer to New York Yankee, Scott Brosius (the New York Yankees eventually won that game in extra innings (November 1, 2001).
He broke down crying (there is no crying in baseball!).
His manager and teammates tried to console him, but that was the last time he was seen in the 2001 World Series.
His 2001 World Series ERA is 13.50
When his home Red Sox fans booed him, he gave them the finger.
Why he might not be annoying
Because the writers (but not the tech guy) of this site are New York Yankee fan!
His team did eventually win the World Series in 7 games.
