    They were pure dance pop.
They became a quintet when Anita left to have a kid and become the Dutch voice of Donald Duck.
They had trouble breaking into the U.S. and U.K. markets (the former for a movie based on a song title and the latter for a collaboration with the Stock-Aitken-Waterman production team).
To distinguish between their identical first names, Angela K had an accent over the ‘e’ on hers.
They were a marketer’s dream, with their own TV show (1984), their own doll line, and even wallpaper.
A decade after the split, they marked one of their interviews with a medley of three songs.
A musical titled ‘Love Me Just a Little Bit More’ increased interest in the group (2004) and inspired a total reunion.
When 52-year-old Ria died of lung cancer in 2009, eight months after the initial diagnosis (‘there’s more to life than being a Dolly Dot’), Angela G announced the end of the Dots.
