    Guest starred on 'Have Gun - Will Travel,' 'The Rifleman,' 'The FBI' and 'Combat!'
    Produced the movies 'Heidi,' 'Kidnapped' and 'The Red Pony'
    Earned a BA in English, Magna Cum Laude from Yale
    He smoked which led to his death from emphysema.
    None of his TV series were particularly successful.
    His middle name was Grover.
    He narrated the movie 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull.'
    He never won an award for his acting but did win the Sour Apple Award in 1963 for Least Cooperative Actor.
    His father was killed in WWII.
    He was an avid tennis player.
    He performed successfully in TV and film and in a wide variety of genres.
    Although best known for his acting, he was a successful producer of high quality films.
