Why he might be annoying
He is a smoker.
Before acting, he worked as a windmill salesman.
He supports and does commercials for Greenpeace, Planet Arc and many of those organizations.
He appeared in a commercial for a car manufacturer in 2003 and was later photographed driving around in a rival company's car.
Why he might not be annoying
His father died when he was two.
Despite the obnoxious organizations he supports, he also raises money for various Australian charities.
He won several Logies (Australian equivalent of an Emmy).
Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider enjoyed his performance in 'The Castle' so much, they personally tracked him down to offer him his role in 'The Animal.'
He can sing and has starred in many Broadway productions.
He has a son that has just finished his training at NIDA and is following in his father's footsteps.
He is an avid surfer and swimmer.
