    He said of Democratic Representatives who oppose the war in Iraq, 'What they have done is cooperated with our enemies and are emboldening our enemies.'
    He received campaign donations from indicted and/or convicted Congressmen Tom DeLay, Duke Cunningham and Bob Ney and refused to give back the money.
    After attending a national security simulation with Barack Obama he said, 'That boy's finger does not need to be on the button' (April 12, 2008).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He served with the US Army Rangers in the Middle East.
    He overcame a 16-point deficit against Nick Clooney (George's dad) to win election to the House.
    He apologized to Obama for his 'poor choice of words,' adding, ''My comment has detracted from the dialogue that we should all be having on legitimate policy differences.'
