Why he might be annoying
He was kicked out of school.
He is notorious for his fights with younger brother and bandmate, Liam Gallagher.
One of their fights was recorded by a journalist and turned into a hit single called 'Wibbling Rivalry.'
He and his bandmates walked out on a Rolling Stone cover shoot after they were told that the shoots usually take about eight hours.
He calls American journalists 'wankers.'
Before releasing the album, 'Standing On The Shoulder of Giants,' he said about the tracks: 'There's two shit ones on it, which I wrote, and the other seven are mega!'
He admits that the lyrics he writes don't mean anything at all and he usually tries to find ways to rhyme.
He blamed the media when he originally backed out from marrying Meg Matthews on Valentines Day 1997, he married her later in the year.
In Variety he said that his band will be bigger than the Beatles, 'Our band will go down in history as one of the greatest of all times ...we'll be a footprint in the history of rock music.'
In an interview with the New York Post, he said: 'Well, as everybody knows, drugs are illegal. We only just found that out, so we stopped taking them' (August 11, 2002).
Why he might not be annoying
He does not mind when people bootleg the Oasis concerts.
He idolizes the Beatles and when compared to the Beatles, he says he is 'flattered and embarrassed.'
When asked how he feels about all the recent deaths due to heroin in rock, he honestly answered 'not bothered.'
Howard Stern refers to him as 'the stable Gallagher.'
He loves New York.
When he married Meg Matthews (June 1997), in Las Vegas the band played Beatle tunes ('All My Loving' and 'Yesterday'), they separated in 2000.
He bought an MKII Jaguar convertible for $170,000.
He may be left handed.
