Why she might be annoying:

    She entered politics after her husband was impeached as Texas governor.
    During the campaign, she promised to be a lackey for her husband and do whatever he said.
    Her campaign motto: ‘Get two governors for the price of one.'
    She went on a pardoning spree, freeing an average 100 convicts a month.
    She opposed teaching foreign languages, saying ‘If English was good enough for Jesus Christ, it's good enough for us.'

Why she might not be annoying:

    She cracked down on the Ku Klux Klan.
    Texans called her ‘Ma' because of her initials and homespun manners.
    She opposed Prohibition and anti-liquor laws.
    A form of five card stud poker is named after her.
    She fought to clear her husband's name after he was accused of corruption.
