He also removed the name Larry Sangers as co-founder of Wikipedia, saying Larry was just his employee.

He dropped out of a doctoral program.
He created Bomis an adult oriented search engine and vigorously denies it was porno.
Why he might not be annoying
He made enough money in a few years as a trader to support his family for life.
He sums up Wikipedia as 'Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. That's what we're doing.'
He created a free encyclopedia Nupedia.com (March 2000)
Wikipedia was designed to submit info to Nupedia but rapidly dominated and replaced Nupedia.
As of 2004 he invested half a million dollars into Wiki projects. He relies on grants and donations to support Wiki.
He admitted to and apologized for editing his own Wikipedia biography adding 'People shouldn't do it, including me. I wish I hadn't done it.'
At school his grade only had three others in it. His mom and grandmother were his teachers.
As a child he would read the encyclopedia.
