He is nicknamed 'Superman.'
He did the Superman pose every time he scored a touchdown.
He served as a backup for his first few seasons in the CFL.
Due to his star player status with the Lions, he was often a target for double coverage by defensive players.
He appeared in commercials for the Canadian restaurant chain Humpty's.

He initially planned to play in the CFL to springboard back into the NFL, but declined once he enjoyed the league's style of play.

He holds the CFL record for all-time career rushing yards.
