Two members of the band live in Sacramento, while the rest live in New York City.
Their lyrics are not profound, and contains a fair amount of profanity.
Nic Offer's vocals sound like Mick Jones of the Clash.
At a festival in Spain, Offer vomited on stage after he took a tab of ecstasy.
Some of their songs overuse curse words and may make the songs a bit immature.
In their early days, some of their recordings used a bit too much percussion.

Why they might not be annoying:

Their name was inspired by the bushman language in the film ‘The Gods Must Be Crazy.’
The band gladly provides many options on how to pronounce their name.
Their music is a fun mix of early disco, funk, punk and electronica.
Their song ‘Dear Can’ is a tribute to the 70s group, Can.

Their songs 'Pardon My Freedom' and 'Hello? Is This Thing On?' were huge hits in dance clubs.
'Me and Giuliani Down by the School Yard' got them recognized by such magazines as Spin, Rolling Stone and Blender and was called one of the best singles of 2003.
Although their songs feature graphic words, they avoided having a 'Parental Advisory' sticker placed on their album, 'Louden Up Now.'
Nic was placed at #42 on NME Magazine's Cool List of 2004.
They made Entertainment Weekly's 'It' List of 2003.
Even though they really formed in Sacramento, they are partially considered a New York City, also being a huge hit with the underground scene of New York City.
Their live shows are known as amazing and a real sight-to-see, attracting many including musicians and celebrities.
During their live shows, some of the band members go out into the crowd and play surrounded by fans.
