    Born in Visby, Sweden
    Drafted 181st overall by the Calgary Flames in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft
    Right wing for Färjestads BK (1979-83, 1989-96) and the Calgary Flames (1983-89)

Why he might be annoying:

    He was initially reluctant to play for Calgary.
    Many hockey pundits felt he was too small to play in the NHL.
    He opted to return to play in Sweden days after the Flames won the Stanley Cup.
    Many North American fans and sportscasters had trouble pronouncing his name.
    Despite being considered as one of the greatest hockey players to come from Sweden, he has yet to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was part of the first influx of Swedish players to play in the NHL.
    He proved many critics wrong by playing seven seasons in the NHL.
    He was one of the first players in hockey history to complete the Triple Crown (Olympic gold medal, IIHF World Championship and Stanley Cup).
    He was the first Swedish player in NHL history to score 50 goals in a season.
    He was considered one of the finest clutch players during international competition.
