She ate only apples and tomatoes for nutrition.
She weighed only 80 pounds when she died.

She was represented by three prestigious modeling agencies L'Equipe, Ford and Elite.
Like Gisèle Bündchen and Adriana Lima, she came from Brazil.
In response to her daughter's death, Ana's mother Miriam quoted ‘Take care of your children. No money is worth the life of your child, not even the famous brand is worth this.'
Her death gave Spain's fashion industry another reason to ban models whose Body Mass Index fall below 18.5 to participate in Madrid fashion shows.
