They are a small market team that does well for themselves in fan attendance.
They have one of the most explosive duos in current day hockey with Todd Bertuzzi and Markus Naslund.
They signed Dan Cloutier with the intentions of grooming him to take over for at-the-time goalie, Felix Potvin (2001).
They were considered favorites to win the Stanley Cup in the 2003-04 season before the Bertuzzi incident occurred.
