His first wife, Natalia Melendez, was Cuba's first supermodel.
He took no royalties from most who reproduced Che's picture.
The financial settlement he received from Smirnoff was donated to the Cuban health system.
His shot of Guevara was called 'the most famous photograph in the world and a symbol of the 20th century.'
