Why she might be annoying:

    She seemed unable to make up her mind career-wise.
    She wanted to become a pilot but ended up teaching kindergarten.
    She stopped teaching to study nursing.
    She gave up nursing to become a sharpshooter.

Why she might not be annoying:

    One of the most cunning snipers in her battalion, she killed 16 enemy soldiers in one engagement and 20 in another.
    Her mastery of enemy tactics and camouflage were peerless.
    She never gave up, once tracking a target for 3 days before finally killing him.
    When captured by German troops, her eyes were gouged out, and then they shot her point plank with an air rifle.
    She received posthumous honors, including a Gold Star, hometown street named after her, and a museum diorama displaying her last stand.
