He filibustered some of Bush's extreme right-wing judicial nominees.
He was re-elected with 60% of the vote in 2004.
He opposed dumping nuclear waste in Nevada's Yucca Mountain.
He says he'd 'rather dance than fight,' but adds that he is willing to fight if necessary.
He says, 'The Senate was not established to make things easy. It was set up to make things better.'
