He led Florida to one of its most disappointing seasons in 2002 (9-5), including a loss in the 2003 Outback bowl.
He is not even close to his predecessor, Steve Spurrier in coaching ability.
He was not a popular choice to take over the Florida coaching job.

Why he might not be annoying:

He beat the SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs for their only loss in 2002.
He runs a relatively clean football program.
He was able to take over at one of the most prestigious football schools in America.
He is known as a top recruiter.
