He was a considered a goon by hockey pundits.
He recorded a career high in penalty minutes with 343 (1980-81).
He is the NHL's all time leader in career penalty minutes.
He holds the Leafs and Canucks franchise records for most penalty minutes recorded in a single playoff year.
His high draft billing was a result of an inept scouting system hired by Harold Ballard.

Despite being labeled a goon, he showed scoring abilities.
He recorded a career high 62 points, which earned him a spot on the Campbell Conference roster at the NHL All-Star Game (1981-82).
He was an integral part of the Canucks Cinderella Stanley Cup Finals run (1982).
